You must know the real fact Paper jams can be real or false. The printer might shows a paper jam even when there is no paper jammed.

The following steps apply to both real and false paper jams.

Paper jams not only occur in single area of the printer it occurs in multiple areas of the printer. If you cannot find the paper jam in single area, continue to the multiple area to detect the accurate paper jam.
1.Start from your input tray
Remove any jammed paper from the input tray.

  • Press the cancel button to restart the printing jobs it might automatically clear the paper jams.
 If the paper jam error persists, continue with manual steps to clear the jam.

  • Gently remove any jammed paper and bits of torn paper from the input tray,pull the paper with both hands without tearing whole sheets of paper.

  • Make sure that there are no objects in the paper path, and then reload the input tray with new paper.
  •  Press the resume button on the control panel to continue the printing job.

If the error persists, check for the output tray of the printer.

2. Remove paper jammed from the output tray.

Same step has to be followed for clearing the jammed paper from the output tray, follow the steps that include in input tray.

3. Remove Paper jammed from the Cartridge access area

Follow the simple step to clear the jammed paper from the ink cartridge access area.
  •  Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
  •   Disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the printer.
  •   Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  •   Close the Output tray ,and then push the output tray into the printer.
  •   Open the exterior door.

  • Open the ink cartridge access door,if the carriage is in the center just slide it to the right.

  •  Gently remove any jammed paper from inside the printer.
  •  Close the ink cartridge access door and exterior door.
  •  Pull out the output tray and then the tray extender.
  •  Connect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  •  If necessary,connect the USB cable to the rear of the printer.
  •  Press the power button to turn on the printer.
