HP DeskJet 3520 Wireless Setup and Installation

Step 1: Gather the required items

Before setting up the printer on your wireless network, gather the requirements, and then make sure the printer and computer connections.
1. Gather the following items
  •  Network name: The network name is the SSID (Service Set Identifier)
  •  Network password :WEP key or WPA security passphrase
  •  A computer connected to your wireless network
  •  Internet access (recommended): HP DeskJet 3529 recommends broadband Internet access such as cable or DSL.
  • Your wireless-capable printer: Place your printer near to the computer during the installation.
  • USB cable: The installer prompts you when to connect the USB cable.
2. Set the printer, router, and computer are all Switch on and Make sure that the computer is    connected to the same wireless network to which you are connecting the printer.
3. Unplug any USB or Ethernet cables from the printer.

Step 2: Download and install the driver
To set up the printer on a wireless network, install the printer driver, and then connect the USB cable from the printer to the computer to gather the necessary wireless information from the computer.

2.Click Download, and then Select OpenSave, or Run. 
3.Double-click the downloaded driver file in the browser downloads bar or in the Downloads folder on the computer to start the driver installation.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection setup and driver installation.

Before setting up the printer on your wireless network, gather the requirements, and then make sure the printer and computer connections.

Step 1: Gather the required items

1.Gather the following items:

c. A computer connected to your wireless network
d.Internet access (recommended): HP DeskJet 3529 recommends broadband Internet access such as cable or DSL.
e.Your wireless-capable printer: Place your printer near to the computer during the installation.
f.USB cable: The installer prompts you when to connect the USB cable.
Step 2: Restore printer wireless settings to factory defaults

To remove any existing wireless settings, restore the printer to the factory default settings.
1.On the printer control panel, select the Wireless button.
The Wireless status screen displays.
2.Select Settings.
3.Press the down arrow to scroll down and select Restore Defaults, and then press OK.
4.Press OK to confirm that you want to restore the network settings to factory defaults.
5.When the Wireless menu displays, make sure the blue light next to the Wireless icon is blinking, and then press cancel to go to the control panel.
Step 3: Download and install the driver

 Complete the wireless network connection through the HP software installation.


  • Go to HP DeskJet 3520 Wireless Setup
  • Click Download, and then Select OpenSave, or Run.
  • When the download is complete, click the file named xxyyzz.dmg in the browser downloads bar or in the download folder on the Mac to start the installation.

  • The installer window displays.
  • In the installer window, double click HP DeskJet SW OSX.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
  • When prompted, close the installation software.

Continue to the next step to configure the wireless connection.


Step 4: To set up the wireless connection
 Use the HP Utility software to configure the wireless connection.
After you close the installation software, wait for the HP Utility software to open.
  • In the HP Utility Setup window, select the name of your printer, and then click Continue.
  • Make sure your network is listed on the screen, click yes, keep these settings, and then click Continue.

  IMPORTANT:
  If a different network than yours displays, choose your network, and then click Continue.

  • On the HP Utility wants to access key "HP's Wi-Fi Network" in your keychain window, click Allow.
  • When the Configuration Results screen displays, click Continue.
  • Click Add Printer.
  • The Add window displays.
  • Click the name of your printer.
  • Make sure you select the printer that has listed under Kind.
  • Click the Use or Print Using menu, and then select the name of your printer in the drop-down menu.
  • Click Add to add the printer to the list.
  • In the installer Add Printer window, click Continue.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the printer setup, and then click Done.
